That is a really good question, right?  With Spring and Summer right around the corner you might be considering a makeover with the start of the new season. Changing up your do' will certainly help you succeed.  Deciding if a hairstyle with bangs is right for you can be a hair pulling experience! So we are here to help save your scalp and your brain!  Take a look at our Pros and Cons to help you decide.

It Can Get Pricey - Remember when you were kid and thought it would be a good idea to pull some hair in front of your face to clip your own bangs? Well, it was a bad idea then and an even worse idea now!  Determining the best bang for your face and cutting them with precision is a job that must be left to the professionals.  On average, hair grows about 1/4" every two weeks so one incorrect move and you can be stuck looking crazy!  This 1/4" of growth can greatly change the style of your bangs therefore leaving you with the need of a hair appointment every 2 weeks.  So let's do the math.  The average haircut costs about $45, which means that you will need to budget at least $90 per month for your hair appointments.

Extra Time Spent In the Bathroom -  Gone are the days of applying hair products and quickly running a comb or brush through your tresses.  Get out the flat iron, curlers, and round brush...since bangs are cut to lay a certain way they must be styled everyday.  So be prepared to add about 10-15 mins to your getting ready time.

Breakouts -  Keep in mind that bangs are generally laying against your forehead and around the face.  With that being said, any hair products that you use will also be on your face.  This can lead to skin breakouts.  Also, working out and sweating while the hair is on your face can cause breakouts.

Transformation - Adding a simple layered or blunt cut bang can drastically transform your look.  Bangs provide a frame and they draw more attention to your beautiful face.  If you are trying to go for a completely different look trying a bang is definitely a good place to start!

Adds Volume - Bangs are known to add volume to fine hair.  They can help create the illusion that your hair is thicker and healthier from all angles.

Create Innocence - Have you ever saw a little girl wearing bangs with pick tails and thought she was the cutest little thing? Or you had a fun night with your mate and dressed up like a secretary all while wearing bangs and glasses?  It's the bangs!  The research is still out on this one but there is something about bangs that makes a person look innocent.  So if you are a bad girl but want to throw them off...bangs just might be for you!
